Wildcat Route (Wisconsin):
The Wildcat Route is named for Wildcat Mountain State Park, the centerpiece of this route, and a popular motorcycle destination.
In addition to the amazing road through the park, there are also great hiking trails that give you some beautiful views of the surrounding area.
This route explores much of the upper Kickapoo River Valley and surrounding areas, and the roads are incredible.
The entire route is full of hills and valleys that drain into the Kickapoo River watershed. The roads shadow the original farm roads which follow the contours of the land and make for excellent riding.
One thing to be aware of is the large number of Amish farms in this area. Keep your eyes open when you are riding this route as you may come across a horse and buggy travelling at a much slower speed. You should also be aware that there might be horse droppings in the road which can be slippery at times. Like the Mindoro Cut, Wildcat Mountain is a popular motorcycle destination and if you have not ridden it yet, you should add the Wildcat Route to your bucket list.
