The Four Corners Loop is located in the Four corners region which is where Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado and Utah all meet.  This ride starts in Shiprock, New Mexico, where riders will go out across the desert before dropping down into and crossing through a canyon as it approaches the Arizona border.  At the Arizona border the terrain levels out again until the route approaches the 4 Corners Monument.  At this point, the road is surrounded by low bluffs and hills.

Just past the Monument, the hills increase and the road weaves around them as it crosses into Colorado.  Eventually the terrain becomes desert again and flattens out until riders approach the Utah border.  As this route crosses into Utah, it approaches the San Juan River and the terrain becomes curvy and hilly again.

The route follows the twists along McElmo Creek to the Colorado border and beyond.  McElmo Creek meanders and so does the road as it weaves between the hills and ridges.  Eventually the route turns back South to cross first farmlands and then desert.  The low hills give way to high flat mesas that tower in the distance.  The view of these rock formations continues all the way back to the starting point at Shiprock. Motorcycle Rides, Arizona, New Mexico, Utah, Colorado, Shiprock, Montezuma Creek, Cortez, Teec Nos Pos
