We have not been creating a lot of blog posts lately, but we have been busy creating and riding new rides. Check out these 2 new rides in Eastern Tennessee!
East Tennessee Crossing Scenic Byway Loop:
The East Tennessee Crossing Scenic Byway Loop is a paved ride in Eastern Tennessee.
Starting in Hot Springs, NC, this loop follows the Dixie Highway through the Eastern tip of Tennessee. For the most part this is a wide flowing road that follows the curves and hollows of various streams and rivers.
Walton Road Historic Byway Loop:
The Walton Road Byway is a 2 day paved ride in Northeastern Tennessee. It follows the path of early settlers across the Cumberland Plateau on their way westward.
One leg of this ride, from Kingston to Carthage, TN consists of main roads and several towns and small cities. The road is wide and gently flowing with curves and hills. Take the time to enjoy the view from Mt. Roosevelt and hike to Ozone Falls.
The other leg of this ride, from Carthage to Kingston includes some smaller roads and goes through a less congested part of the state. While there are some main roads, there are several smaller roads with much tighter turns and steeper hills. This leg also includes a series of switchbacks that climb one of the many hills.
