The White Mound Route is located north of the Wisconsin River between the Boaz Caz and River Bend Routes. It is named for White Mound County Park located in the center of the route.  This route explores the densely packed hills directly north of the Wisconsin River between Gotham and Spring Green, Wisconsin. The rolling hills in the northern portion transition to rolling farmlands and hilly ridges The roads are reflections of the variations in the terrain.  The White Mound Route, like most others, offers plenty of parks, museums and other attractions. Check out Natural Bridge State Park, Ableman’s Gorge, and White Mound County Park for some great hiking. Mid-continent railway museum and Pioneer Village are also great attractions. Be sure to stop for a picture at Elephant Rock, a natural rock formation outside of Ithaca.  This is a great route, but since it is surrounded by other routes it may be overlooked by riders who are from outside the area. If you have ridden the Boaz Caz or River Bend Routes, we recommend trying the White Mound Route.
