Mar 29: Sedona Montezuma (AZ) Loop, Zumo XT2 Note, Easter Sale!

This week's post will highlight one of our Arizona Loops, talk about some potential issues with the new Zumo XT2 GPS, and contains an Easter Egg for readers!

Sedona Montezuma Loop:

The Sedona Montezuma Loop is an amazing paved ride in central Arizona. This loop includes a visit to beautiful Sedona, travels through a portion of the Coconino National Forest and takes riders to the Montezuma Castle National Monument.

Starting in Sedona, this loop follows Oak Creek upstream through a narrow canyon.  Along the way there are several places to stop and play in the water or just take in the sights.  Eventually this road climbs up and out of the canyon on a series of switchbacks  to the plateau above.

Garmin Zumo XT2 Note:

We wanted to highlight a potential issue to all Zumo XT2 users; evidently the XT2 does not interface cleanly with the Garmin Basecamp app. This is a potential issue since all of our routes are created using Basecamp.

While we are still investigating this issue, we think that we have found a workable solution. In order to make our routes usable on a Zumo XT2, riders will need to import our digital routes into either the Garmin Explore or the Garmin Tread app, then transmit the file from that app to the Zumo XT.

Many thanks to Mark Novack for identifying this issue and helping us to work through some potential solutions.

If you have an XT2 and have some other solution, please let us know and we will try it out.

Easter Sale:

We want to help everyone kick off the riding season with an Easter Sale!
