Spearfish Canyon Loop (Black Hills, South Dakota).
The Spearfish Canyon Loop is a great ride near Sturgis that can be done in an afternoon! This loop starts in Sturgis and winds up the hills toward Deadwood before turning North and West to Spearfish. In Spearfish the route turns South and immediately enters Spearfish Canyon.
Spearfish Canyon is a deep canyon that follows the path of Spearfish Creek. The road twists and turns with views of both the creek and the rocky cliffs above.
After exiting Spearfish Canyon, this ride turns back North and climbs up to the town of Lead. From Lead, the route turns South again and eventually turns onto Nemo Road, another great ride.
In Nemo, the route turns back North on Vanocker Canyon Road and zig zags all the way back to Sturgis.

Renee and I are happy to be back from a very challenging trip to the Black Hills. We hope we got all of the bad luck out of our system and we are already planning our next trip which will be to the Driftless Area in a few weeks.
