Dale and I just returned from an amazing trip, and this week we want to highlight one of our favorite rides from the trip.

The Cascade Springs Loop is a paved ride located in central Utah (near Highland).  Starting just outside of Orem, UT, this ride quickly climbs into the mountains for a continuous stream of curves and switchbacks.  The Cascade Springs Loop traverses the entire Alpine Loop Road to the Provo River Canyon.   At the bottom of the canyon there is a short trip to the Khyv lookout for a stunning view of Salt Lake City and the surrounding mountains.  Descending from the lookout, this loop travels back past Deer Creek Reservoir and almost to the city of Midway before turning back West to traverse Cascade Springs Road. Cascade Springs is another amazing ride that rejoins the Alpine Loop and eventually returns to the starting point near Highland.

Location:  Central Utah

Approximate Mileage:  75 miles

Estimated Riding Time:  3.5 Hours

Surface:  Paved

Attractions:  Cascade Springs, Theatre in the Pines, Bridal Veil Falls, Nunn’s Park, Canyon Glen Park, Kyhv Peak Access, Canyon View Park, Swinging Bridge Picnic Area, Tibble Fork Reservoir Access, Deer Creek Overlook, Alpine Loop Road, Greater Utah Valley Overlook

The roads were amazing! The views were incredible! The wildlife was abundant! And I was with my favorite riding partner. If you get to the area you should definitely ride this one!

We hope you are having a great summer filled with fun rides! We have been getting in as many trips as we can, and we aren't done yet. New MI routes coming soon!! Stay tuned and ride safe!
