The Tucson Mt. Lemmon Loop is a paved ride in Southeastern Arizona. This ride contains 2 different types of riding combined into 1 awesome loop.
The first part of the ride is a twisty, curvy mountain climb up to the Mt. Lemmon Lookout. There are several curves and a few switchbacks along with several vistas, lookouts, and hiking trailheads along the entire ride.
Descending from the mountain, the 2nd part of the ride begins which visits several amazing sites in Tucson. First up is a small loop through the Sonoran Desert near the Rincon Mountain Visitor Center. Next is a visit and a chance to cool off at Colossal Cave Mountain Park. Following the cave is the opportunity to see some awesome historical planes at the Pima Air and Space Museum. On the last leg of this ride, the path takes riders through Davis Monthan Air Force Base which contains a huge military aircraft boneyard. While riders can’t see the entire boneyard from the road and it appears that tours are not allowed, some planes can be seen from some roads near the base.
