The Tellico Plains South Loop is a paved ride located in Eastern Tennessee, Western North Carolina, and Northeastern Georgia. Most of this ride takes place in the Cherokee National Forest and the Chattahoochee National Park. As such, large towns with services can be few and far between.
The Tellico Plains South Loop follows the path of several rivers and streams resulting in plenty of curves along the meandering waterways and part of the ride includes the Ocoee Scenic Byway.
This is a riders' ride with lots of curves and elevation changes and it is a good companion ride to those riding the Cherohala Highway and the Tail of the Dragon.
