The Snowy Mountains Loop is located in Southeast Wyoming. Starting in Laramie, Wyoming, this route heads West to the town of Centennial. There, the road starts the long, slow climb and twists up the Snowy Mountain Range in the Medicine Bow National Forest. The path climbes to the high point near the Libby Flatts Observation Area, then slowly winds and descends down to the farmlands in the valley below.
After a short ride through the low hills and farmlands to Encampment, the route climbs up and over another mountain pass and descends to the turnaround point at the Little Snake River Museum. From there, the route backtracks to Encampment and then turns South into Colorado.
This part of the route wanders through valleys and low lying hills before eventually turning back to the Northeast and back into Wyoming. Riders will go back through the Medicine Bow National Forest and weave down off of the plateau to the valley below.
From there it's a straight shot back to the starting point in Laramie.
