The Silver City NM Loop is a paved ride in Southwest New Mexico. This ride includes a great combination of mountainous curves and open desert straightaways.
Starting in Silver City, NM, this route enters the Gila National Forest for a fun ride to the Gila Cliff Dwellings. Explore the past in these 700 year old ruins.
After the cliff dwellings, the run continues as this ride follows the Mimbres river bed back South finally exiting the Gila National Forest and hitting the open desert.
This loop winds around and takes riders to City of Rocks State Park where you are allowed to hike among the rocks and hoodoos. Following the City of Rocks, the ride loops back to Bayard and riders can visit the Fort Bayard National Historic Landmark and National Cemetery.
After leaving Fort Bayard, there is a short ride back to the starting point in Sliver City.
