The Roanoke North Loop is located in Northwest Virginia. This route starts East of Roanoke near Stewartsville and heads east before turning North into the hills. The road weaves and winds through the low hills and eventually emerges near Bedford.
After a short ride West, the route turns North again for more twisty fun. This part of the route includes some very tight turns, so stay alert. From Kelso Mill it’s a fun trip North for a short distance to join the Blue Ridge Parkway for a nice ride to the James River. After crossing the James River, the route leaves the Parkway and follows the James River for a twisty ride to Glasgow.
From Glasgow, the path runs West through Natural Bridge and then turns back South to run parallel to Interstate 81 to Buchanan. From Buchanan, the route continues South, up and over the mountains and down the other side into Montvale. After Montvale, the road weaves through the low hills and then turns West again to join another section of the Blue Ridge Parkway, before finally exiting the parkway and returning to the starting point in Stewartsville.
