The Pagosa Navajo Dam Loop is a paved ride located in Southern Colorado and Northern New Mexico.  This is a great route highlighting a variety of landscapes and riding conditions.

 

Starting in Pagosa Springs, CO, this route includes some gentle curves as you climb and descend through various canyons and some wide open high desert straightaways.  You can picture yourself exploring the old west as you ride through the desolate valleys of Southern Colorado and Northern New Mexico.

 

While this is only a 4 hour ride, there are few stopping points along the ride.  So be sure to take plenty of gas and water before you start and top off your tank when you get the chance.
