The Newburg Licking Loop is located in Southeast Missouri. Starting near Newburg, this ride heads South through the Mark Twain National Forest. Most of the trip South is spent in the National Forest, so there are lots of fun twists and turns along this entire stretch.
Turning Northeast, this route alternates between forests and farms. The straight stretches are broken up by sweeping curves along the way to Salem, MO. North of Salem, the road slowly becomes more forested and remote, eventually going past a Royal Oak charcoal factory before turning back West.
This route wanders mainly west through more farms and forest areas before eventually returning to the Mark Twain National Forest and more curvy forest roads. The final leg is a great ride North through the National Forest back to the starting point in Newburg.
