The Muley Point Loop is located in Southeast Utah.  While this route is one of our shortest routes, riders will want to take their time and enjoy every scenic mile.  We have labeled this route as Dual Sport because several sections of this ride are unpaved.  Some are gravel and some are graded dirt, so riders need to be aware of this fact before they attempt this ride.

Starting out in Mexican Hat, Utah, this route takes riders to the South entrance of the Valley of the Gods.  The Valley of the Gods is like a miniature Monument Valley, but it is not developed, so typically it is less crowded.  The road through the Valley of the Gods is not paved, so riders need to be aware of conditions before setting out.

After a stunning ride through the Valley of the Gods, it is just a short ride up the switchbacks at Moki Dugway where riders can stop along the way for more stunning views of the Valley of the Gods.  Moki Dugway is also not paved, rather it is graded dirt, so riders need to be cautious.

At the top of Moki Dugway, the route leaves the paved road and takes riders back South to the edge of the San Juan River Canyon at Muley Point and Muley Point East.  Here riders can view the work of the San Juan River and take in the stunning rock formations created by centuries of erosion.

From Muley Point, this route returns to the highway for a trip back down Moki Dugway and then an easy highway ride back to Mexican Hat.
