The Mt. Magazine Loop starts in Booneville and dips slightly South before turning North toward the city of Paris, Arkansas. At the outskirts of Paris, this route turns back South toward Mount Magazine State Park.
Enjoy the elevation changes and the panoramic views from the Petit Jean Valley Overlook. If you have time as you head back to Booneville, take a short side trip to view the old Tuberculosis Sanitarium on Highway 116.
