The Hurricane UT Loop is a paved ride located in Southwestern Utah.  Starting in Hurricane Utah, this loop makes a small climb to the low rolling mesas and heads to the Southeast.  As you progress, the mountains draw near on your left.  Just past Colorado City, this loop begins to climb into the low rolling hills.  Be sure to take in the dunes at Coral Pink Sand Dunes State Park.
 
A short distance past the state park the loop enters the Mt. Carmel Highway Scenic Drive.  The rest of this loop will be a constant stream of amazing curves and awesome views.  Take care riding because while the scenery is stunning the roads and potential traffic require constant attention.
 
This loop enters Zion National Park at the East Entrance and does require a fee to pass through.  The road inside Zion includes tight curves, switchbacks and 2 tunnels (including the Zion Mt Carmel Tunnel).  NOTE:  Zion Canyon is closed to traffic between March and November.  Access is available via shuttle busses.  So be sure to check before you set out.
 
There are 2 side trips on this loop (Zion Canyon and Hurricane Mesa) and another potential Side Trip (Kolob Terrace).  The trip up Zion Canyon is a must do.  You will ride among giant rock walls with tremendous hiking opportunities at several locations.  The trip up Hurricane Mesa is an optional out and back.  This is a narrow road and can be rough at times.  There is not much to see at the top, the ride and scenery are the prize.
 
The third optional out and back on this loop is a trip to Kolob Reservoir.  This is another great addition to the ride, but will add up to 2 hours to your ride (if you go all the way to the reservoir).
 
From Hurricane Mesa, it is a short trip down the valley along the Virgin River back to the starting point in Hurricane.
