The Dinosaur National Monument South Loop is a paved ride located in Northeastern Utah.  Starting in Vernal, UT, this loop heads across the farmlands and low hills until reaching the entrance to Dinosaur National Monument.  Upon entering the monument, the road climbs and curves all the way to the turnaround at Harpers Corner.  At Harpers Corner there is a hike that will take people farther out on a point for a panorama view of the Green River.  Along this climb and descent, there are several different stops with scenic views.

After exiting the national monument, the ride returns to Jensen, UT and then turns to the North to re-enter the Dinosaur National Monument.  The ride into the monument is curvy and follows the contours of the hills as it climbs.  There are several interesting stopping places to view dinosaur fossils (Quarry Exhibit Hall) and petroglyphs.

This part of the loop turns around just past Turtle Rock at McKee Petroglyphs and follows the same path out of the park.  Before reaching Jensen, the route turns off for a short tip back to the starting point in Vernal.
