The Colorado National Monument Loop is a paved loop located in Western Colorado near Grand Junction.  This loop starts out in western Grand Junction and quickly enters the Colorado National Monument.

 

Following the main paved road through the park, this loop includes a number of switchbacks and tunnels.  There are numerous pull offs and scenic viewpoints throughout the park.  If you need to stretch your legs there are several hiking trails of varying difficulty inside the park.  NOTE:  A fee is required to enter the park.

 

After exiting the park, this loop returns to Grand Junction and then continues to pass South of the National Monument and further West onto the high prairie.

 

At the end of the paved road, this loop turns around and enters the park once again for some more fun curves before returning once again in Grand Junction.
